How do I log a round?
In the app, tap the ＋ button → "Play a Loop" to score live, hole by hole, or "Log a Past Round" to quickly add a round you already played. Your handicap and stats update automatically.
How does my Handicap Index work?
Loop computes a USGA/WHS-style Handicap Index from the rounds you log, using each course's rating and slope. It's provisional until you have enough rated rounds, then sharpens with every round. It's for personal tracking, not official handicap posting.
What is AI Swing Analysis?
A Loop Pro feature: film one swing and get automated coaching — a verdict, your top fixes, and drills — generated from still frames of your video. It's helpful guidance, not professional instruction, and can be imperfect.
How do I manage or cancel Loop Pro?
Loop Pro is billed through your Apple App Store account. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple.
Do I need Loop Pro for GPS distances?
No. The GPS rangefinder and satellite hole view are free for everyone. On any course Loop has mapped, it reads your location while you play and shows real distances to the front, centre and back of the green, measured from where you are standing. Location is only read during a round, never in the background. Loop Pro adds the coaching and analysis layer — AI Swing Analysis and Caddie Memory.
What is the satellite hole view?
A real overhead photo of the hole you are playing, instead of a stylised diagram. Tap anywhere on it to measure a carry or a layup, and each shot you record appears on the photo where it actually finished. Hole shapes come from OpenStreetMap and the imagery from Esri. It is free, and it works on the 12,000+ courses Loop has mapped.
How to delete your account
You can permanently delete your account and all its data at any time, right in the app: open Profile → About → Delete Account. This removes your rounds, posts, swing analyses, and profile from our systems. If you need help, email support@thegolfloop.com.
